Human Whack-A-Mole

These are grown men. Getting whacked by rubber mallets. On TV. In Japan.

Comments:
There's this thing. In the English language. They're called commas. You should use them. Sometime. Great site. Keep it up. Love Japan TV madness. Lots.

There's this thing. In writing. They call it "rhetorical emphasis." It allows a writer to do whatever he wants. As long he blames it on "rhetorical emphasis." In this case it is called "Parataxis." That is the writing of successive independent clauses, with coordinating conjunctions, or no conjunctions. This can be done with commas. Or periods.

"Rhetorical emphasis" is useful in evoking a specific reading of your text. Or for coming down on people who correct grammar too much.

Also, it was funny the way that guy just kept hammering and hammering on the guy in the front left hole. Just wouldn't let up on him. Heh.

This is another clip from Mechaike. It's not just whackamole. The entire set of 'moles,' you may notice, are balding men, and the mallet has 2-sided tape on it's business end, so the thing to be scared of is not the pain of getting hit on the head, but of losing hair to the mallet, which they do.

It ceases to be emphasis if it is the norm! :) But I stand guilty as charged as being a grammar nazi, please note I also was complimenting the site. And I will do so again.

(there, I did it too. can't stop. seem to be doing it. compulsively. oh. crap.) :)
